I met Kyle and Patrick back this past winter and we soon found out that their new house was in my hood--we were about to be neighbors! We had a great time chatting about the area and their new house. I was so excited when they chose me to photograph their wedding!
Kyle and Patrick were married in Winchester, Patrick's hometown. I am a total sucker for small, historic towns, and Winchester lived up to my expectations! We had a bit of rainy day, but we were still able to get out in the town a little bit for some fun bride and groom portraits. Here are some favorites from the day.
Kyle had her makeup professionally done by Kerry of KLH Makeup Artistry.
I always love the shot of the groom when he sees his bride coming down the aisle!
The new Mr and Mrs!
The reception was at the George Washington Hotel in downtown Winchester.
Kyle and Pat went on their first date at the brewery just down the block from the GW Hotel. We were able to get a few shots there, even though we got there right in the middle of a pub crawl!
This was the actual table they sat at on their first date!
The wonderful George Washington Hotel.
There were lots of cute little stores in the town and Kyle and Pat were totally down with walking around a little and using them as backdrops. I had seen this pink store while driving to the hotel and thought it would be perfect with Kyle's pink and orange theme.
The first dance.
As you can see, Pat decided to go big with the cake--I like to call this shot, "Kyle's Revenge."
The couple had a candy bar for their favors--it provided an excellent prop for some fun ring shots.
Always love the father-daughter dance.
And the mother-son dance!
Congratulations Kyle and Patrick! We had a great time at your wedding and wish you many, many happy years together!
