I recently had the opportunity to photograph the winning entry for the Our Towne magazine cover photo contest. This little cutie won the coveted title and a photo session and the cover of the next issue was his prize. Since this little guy loves to be outside, we did the session in the family's neighborhood of South Riding. He was constantly on the move, so we had fun trying to get him to slow down even just a little! Here are a few favorites from the session.

I finally got the chance to take pictures of the adorable little girls that live right across the street from me! We had been talking about doing a session for awhile, and with the holidays approaching, we couldn't put it off any longer. I had a hard time picking out favorites for the blog, as there were lots that I loved--the little girls are natural born models! Here is my edited down version of some faves from the session.

Baby Hannah & Family | Reston VA Family Photographer

I met up with Hannah and family at their home in Reston. Hannah just turned one and has only had photos taken one other time, so she needed a little time to warm up to me. She was a little bit of a tough customer, but she'd just had her 1 yr old shots the day before, so it was totally understandable! Her parents were great at getting her laughing, so we spent some time playing before heading outside to enjoy the gorgeous Fall day. Here are some favorites from the session.

Maria + Wayne: Married! | Washington DC Wedding Photographer | Alrington Wedding Photographer

Maria and Wayne were married on an absolutely gorgeous day in DC. The weather (and light!) could not have been more perfect! I was looking forward to their wedding for while, as I love DC weddings, and their reception was held at Top of the Town, which is pretty much has the best view of Washington around. Here are some favorites from the day.

Maria and Wayne decided to to a First Look, which is always so sweet and gave us a lot more time to do photos of the two of them together.






And the light! I may have gone a little crazy here with all these images, but I love the flare, and these were just too good not to share!

The reception had great blue accents, which really complimented the place cards with photos from trips the couple had taken together. Seems like everywhere they've gone has either had beautiful blue skies or water!
