Sarah & Jack

Sarah and Jack were married at Brambleton Regional Park, which is right down the street from my house and I didn't even know they had weddings there! The weather was a bit ominous earlier in the day--lots of rain and dark clouds. But then it cleared up and was blindingly bright at times, which can be really hard to work with. I tried to take advantage of the bright sun by getting some sun flare in some of the images, which turned out great.

More sun flare.

With the couple both being landscape architects, they had a lot of elements of the outdoors incorporated into their ceremony, like herbs in pots, flowers on the cake, and mugs as favors with a nature print on it mimicking the colors of the bridesmaid dresses and the herbs.
Seeing the bride for the first time.
This little flower girl was so cute--she walked down the aisle clutching the mug of flower petals and didn't drop any till being reminded at the end, but then thought it was great fun to scatter them and pick them up again throughout the ceremony. Too cute.

Overall the day turned out great. The weather changing at the last minute made everyone really happy. The couple planed their wedding in only a couple of months--I can't remember the exact number, but I can assure you it was far less than average. For such a short time period, everything was really nice. And the groom planned a surprise honeymoon for the bride--I can't wait to hear where they went!
