I LOVE it when my wedding couples call me to do portraits of their babies. It is truly one of my most favorite parts of this job. I even have a program in place to encourage my couples to call me--the Your Life in Portraits program offers different monthly specials to my awesome wedding and longtime portrait clients.

So, Jamie and Jennifer called me to take photos of their adorable son, Nicholas. He is the dangerous kind of baby--the kind that makes me want more! He was so well-behaved and so sweet. Here are a few of my favorites from our session at Jennifer and Jamie's home in Alexandria, VA.

I'm a New Blogger for The DC Ladies!

Katelyn is 1! | Ashburn VA Children's Photographer

It really is true--they grow up so fast! Katelyn was one of my Baby's First Year plans, and we did her one year session just before the holidays. She is growing into a delightful little toddler--full of personality and super cute! Here are a few faves from the session.

Baby Miles and Family | Northern VA Family Photographer

As I'm typing this, I'm realizing that this may be one of the last times I get to refer to Miles as "Baby Miles!" He will be a year old soon, but we got these portraits in late last year, just before the holidays. The real goal of the session was to do an extended family portrait, but of course, Miles stole the show. Here are some favorites from the session.

The D Family | Ashburn VA Family Photographer

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing little Louisa who just turned one. She makes my two year old energetic boy look calm! She is super cute and super independent and seemingly has no fear. Oh, and she is always on the move. An outdoor session was perfect for her. We changed up locations a few times to keep her interested and got some great shots. Here are some favorites from the day.

The B Family | Ashburn VA Family Photographer

I find twins endlessly fascinating. I've photographed lots of fraternal twins, but never identical twins--that is, until I met the B family! Their little guys are two year old identical twins, and boy were they fast! Typical of kids this age, they had tons of energy, so an outdoor session was just the thing for them. We ended the session at the park--a reward for their great behavior! Here are some favorites from the session.






I like to do a few photos of the parents with my family sessions--usually the last time the parents had photos together was at their wedding, which is just not right!

The B Family | South Riding VA Photograper

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the winning entry for the Our Towne magazine cover photo contest. This little cutie won the coveted title and a photo session and the cover of the next issue was his prize. Since this little guy loves to be outside, we did the session in the family's neighborhood of South Riding. He was constantly on the move, so we had fun trying to get him to slow down even just a little! Here are a few favorites from the session.

Baby Hannah & Family | Reston VA Family Photographer

I met up with Hannah and family at their home in Reston. Hannah just turned one and has only had photos taken one other time, so she needed a little time to warm up to me. She was a little bit of a tough customer, but she'd just had her 1 yr old shots the day before, so it was totally understandable! Her parents were great at getting her laughing, so we spent some time playing before heading outside to enjoy the gorgeous Fall day. Here are some favorites from the session.
