Gloria & Mike: Expecting! Maternity Photos

I am a little late in posting these--even though this is supposed to be the "down" season, I have felt busier than ever and have been neglecting the blog a little bit!
I met Gloria when she was planning her wedding and looking for a photographer. Sadly, I was unable to shoot her wedding due to my little man Quinn--my due date with him was only about a week and a half before her wedding day. I was super sad about missing her wedding, but so happy she wanted me to do her maternity photos!
We had a lot of fun with these photos--this one is one of my new favorite maternity pics!

Gretchen & Brian: Maternity Portraits

Gretchen and Brian are expecting their first little one this December. I always love doing maternity portraits--it is such a special time--difficult sometimes, but special :) My own daughter loves seeing photos of me when I was pregnant with her and knowing that she was what was inside of my huge belly!
I thought Gretchen looked particularly radiant. Pregnancy definitely agrees with her! Here are a few of my faves.

Crazy Idea

I have this idea that I want to photograph a couple from enagement, to wedding, to pregnancy, to baby, to family portrait. Is this totally crazy? DC is such a transient area, and though I've kept in touch with several of my wedding couples, none are still in the area who are/have been pregnant.
