Heather + Brian: Married! | Middleburg VA Wedding Photographer

You may remember Heather and Brian from their recent engagement session--we had a great time that day, and I knew their wedding would be just as fun. They were married at the Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast in Middleburg, VA, which is one of my favorite places to shoot.
Heather put a lot of work and attention to the details of her wedding and it all came together really beautifully. She told me that every time she wears pink, Brian tells her how beautiful she looks, so her colors were easy to choose! Here are some of the gorgeous details from the day.

Getting ready...I love the cottage at the Briar Patch--so cute and a great backdrop for photos.

The bouquets all had a silver initial with two little rhinestones in them. It was another one of Heather's touches that was so unique--I had never seen that before!

There was a threat of rain and it was pretty toasty outside, so the couple opted to do the ceremony indoors, which was a nice change for me. I've only shot outdoor ceremonies at the Patch, and it's always fun to do something new!

Congratulations Heather and Brian! We had a great time at your wedding and wish you many happy years together!

Mariah + Gabe: Married! | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

Mariah and Gabe were married at the Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast, in Middleburg VA on a gorgeous Summer day. This wedding was anything but conventional, and I experienced a few wedding firsts. It was my first wedding that had not one but TWO bands play. But they were not your typical wedding bands. Gabe is a musician and the bands were all friends of his and Mariah's. So the reception had much more of a rock club party feel rather then a reception--it was so fun! The second first was the bride and groom's exit....you'll have to read the whole blog post to see the details!
I love the Briar Patch's cottage where the bride gets ready. So many great places to get detail shots.

Gabe brought his pump organ all the way to the B&B for the ceremony music.

It's from Detroit, just like me!

Mariah + Gabe's Photobooth Pictures! | Northern VA Photobooth

Mariah and Gabe (full post coming soon!) had a totally fun wedding with not one but TWO bands playing! It totally felt like a party at a club rather than a traditional wedding reception, and knowing this ahead of time, I thought it would be perfect for the photobooth! The photobooth set up is something you can add on to any package and guests can go and have their photo taken with props, or not. It is really fun to see what people come up with and a great way to get photos of all your guests. Here are some favorites.

Hannah & Matt: Married!

Just before we went on vacation, I had the pleasure of photographing Hannah and Matt's wedding at the lovely Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast. I had met Hannah awhile back, and had actually photographed the couple's adorable daughter, Grace, for her one year birthday. So, if felt like I was hanging out with old friends for the day! The wedding was really beautiful and elegant while still being relaxed. The bridal party wore flip flops, which I loved! There were so many fabulous photos from the day, I may have gone overboard here, but here are some favorites.
One of the bridesmaids seeing the bride in her full bridal attire.
Adorable flower girl shoes.
Getting ready...

The ceremony was presided over by the bride's grandmother, which really gave a personal touch. The is cutie pie Grace entertaining the guests during the ceremony.

I love the way they are looking at each other here.
Baby's first wedding.

The happy couple.
Some of the tasty food from Basic Kneads.
Gorgeous natural light during their first dance.
One of the best wedding cakes I have tasted--courtesy of the bride's brother, who was a pastry chef in a former career. It was sooo good!

Love the back of the dress and her hair.
An emotional speech by the parent's of the groom.

Mother son dance.

The cake
The happy family. Congratulations you guys! I had so much fun photographing your wedding and I hope to see you again soon!
