2008 was a great year. I think it was my busiest year yet and filled with lots of exciting work. I want to say thank you to all my clients, friends and family who made this year possible for me! I am truly thankful for all of you and feel blessed to know each and every one of you.
This is the first time I have tried a slide show, so hopefully this works. This is a collection of some favorites from the past year....enjoy!
I had the honor of doing Baby Michael's first ever professional photo shoot recently. He was unbelievably good--so good that I ended up with nearly 300 images from our session! With Michael being so good, plus the whole family being so darn adorable, I was smiling the whole time editing these images. Here are a few of my favorites. Seriously, could he be any cuter?
I love mom and baby pictures :) He's #1! See, I told you they were an adorable family!
Nancy and her son Chet have been coming to me for years, so it is always fun to see them and catch up. It's also been great to see Chet grow up. I think he was around 4 the first time I met him! He's now a big 6th grader and is an avid golfer! My how time flies! These are some of my favorites from the session.
I recently had the honor of doing Baby Sydney's first photo shoot. She was a great model. It was actually kind of amazing...she would be crying and fussy, but then when we put her in position, she totally relaxed! She is so super cute, and reminded me a lot of my own little girl when she was a newborn. Here are some of my faves from the session.
This is one of my absolute favorites. It does not get much cuter than this, folks!
My friend Stephanie (a fellow photographer) and I had been talking about doing a portrait trade for literally a few years! We finally got it together and set a date to meet at Cabell's Mill, a park I love in Northern VA. I had done a wedding there a few years ago and always thought it would be a great location for family photos. This was not the first time I have done photos for another pro photographer, but it was still a wee bit intimidating nonetheless! I was really happy with the photos though--whew! Here are a few favorites.
And because once you are married and have kids, you never get any great photos of just you and your hubby, we did some engagement style photos too :)
New baby Tucker. Steph is a total warrior--she did a wedding only a few weeks after he was born!
It was great to photograph Carson again--the last time I saw him, he was only a few months old. Here is a photo from our first session. Now, he is sitting, rolling, and standing! It is really crazy how fast time goes and quickly babies change.
Martha and Zack are probably some of the cutest kids ever, and are the best little models. It is like they are professionals or something! I've taken their photos before, but this may be the last time for awhile. The family is moving to Dubai, so we did some fun photos for their moving card, which you'll see toward the end of this post. Best of luck to the whole family on this big adventure!
