Cathy and Keith: Married!

Cathy and Keith were married at the lovely Bristow Manor, which I really love. They have a great area for the bride to get ready in, and the grounds have lots of fabulous places for photos. And what photographer doesn't love an historic house as the backdrop for their images?
Cathy and Keith are really sweet together and their wedding was an intimate gathering of their family and friends. Here are some of the special details. Cathy's sister did the flowers for her! They were so beautiful and added a really personal touch!
The cake was done by Wanda of Wanda's Cakes. She actually made the cake for my own wedding!

We were able to catch the last of the golden daylight and get this amazing sunset in the background during the reception. These are some of my favorite photos of Cathy and Keith just joking around.

This is perhaps my favorite photo of kids at a wedding in a loooong time! There was a big moth that flew inside and the kids were jumping up trying to catch it. Too cute! I love this one with the little girl in the middle just suspended in mid-air!

Kristin and Scott: Married!

Kristin and Scott were married at the beautiful Whitehall Estate in Bluemont. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous, and the happiness that exuded from the bride and groom was totally contagious! Kristin and Scott are one of those couples that just seem like they were destined to be together. They just seem to fit. It was such an honor to photograph their wedding--so much fun!

Bridal Show

Yesterday was the big Bridal Showcase at the Dulles Expo Center. It was so great to meet so many brides, grooms and their friends and families. The guest book with the engagement photos in it was a big hit! The two people that won one of these, did not come back around, so if you were number 6770 or 6848, contact me, because you won!

New Birth Announcements

I am super excited about my new brith announcements! Here is the first sample with the adorable baby Georgia. The design can be printed as a folded card, or like a postcard. I have some more designs that I will be posting soon, but I just couldn't wait to post this one. These will be available a la carte with any sitting, and I will also be including them in my new New Baby Package, which is a new addition to the portrait offerings.

Sylvia & Mike: Engaged!

Sylvia and Mike are getting married in only a few short weeks. We had a gorgeous day with great clouds for these photos. Sylvia and Mike are such a great couple--Can't wait for the wedding!

Martha & Zack

Martha and Zack are probably some of the cutest kids ever, and are the best little models. It is like they are professionals or something! I've taken their photos before, but this may be the last time for awhile. The family is moving to Dubai, so we did some fun photos for their moving card, which you'll see toward the end of this post. Best of luck to the whole family on this big adventure!

Bridal Show 9/7

While I am waiting for some memory cards to copy over, I wanted to remind everyone about the Bridal Show on September 7 at the Dulles Expo Center. I am super excited to be offering new totally custom wedding packages, as well as some new products. The first one is a guest book that features photos from your engagement sitting with plenty of room for your guests to leave their well wishes. The second is the new Photobook, which is a stylish and modern book for couples who appreciate great design, but need an album that is affordable. Photos to come!
